Welcome to Beatty Elementary, Home of the Trailblazers!
The Beatty Elementary School Website was designed especially for you as a one-stop spot for information about our school community. With special sections for parents (Parents' Page), students (Kids' Corner) and teachers (Teacher Tools), there's something here for everyone. You can use the search feature at the top of any page to help you find what you are looking for. The Beatty Website is updated daily with our latest news and announcements. We hope you enjoy your visit and come back again soon!
Class Web Pages
The teachers at Beatty Elementary have created and maintain their own web pages.
Important class information and assignments are posted regularly throughout the school year. Homework assignments are updated every week. The Beatty Class Web Pages are a great way to stay in touch with your teacher and classroom.
Announcements
The Yearbooks are Here!
The yearbooks are here! The yearbooks are here! Yeah!!!! Our books arrived and have been passed out to students who pre-purchased them. It's not too late to get a copy. Yearbooks are for sale for $20.00, while supplies last. Don’t wait! Stop by Miss Powell's class (room 40) and get your copy today!
The 2008-2009 Beatty yearbook is a hardback, full-color, 80-page book that captures the activities for the school year. From class photos to class candids, field trips to Field Day, this is your chance to remember the 2008-2009 school year forever.
Don't worry, Track 4... your yearbooks are in Miss Powell's room. If you would like to stop by and pick up your copy while you are on track break, that's not a problem. Just come by room 40 and get your book. All remaining track 4 books will be delivered when you get back from vacation.
PTA Information
Contact your Legislator: The Nevada Legislature is now in session and they need our input. The State Senators for our area are Shirley Breeden and Joyce Woodhouse. Our State Assemblymen are Paul Aizley, Joseph Hogan, and John Oceguera. You can get their contact information at www.leg.state.nv.us. Please write to your legislators. You can view a sample letter by clicking on this link. When writing your letter, make it personal. Add your own ideas and experiences. Your voice is important if we want to see any change in our community.
Tyson Project A+ and Campbell's Soup Labels: These programs are similar to Box Tops 4 Education. You bring in your Tyson product labels and Campbell's soup labels to the school. We collect them and send them off for money and supplies for our school. Just submit your labels to your child's teacher like you do the Box Tops 4 Education.
Online Math and Reading Resources
Don’t have a computer or internet access? Wednesday nights from 3:15—6:00 pm, the computer lab at Beatty Elementary is open for families to use. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Get help with homework, too!
This year we are promoting the online math and reading resources we have available to all of our students. Our core programs, Trophies Reading and EnVision Math, both have websites with supplemental materials to enrich and remediate classroom lessons. We also have programs for students in grades 2-5 that are based on Nevada State standards in reading and math. more information
District F: F-Troop Information
Beatty Elementary is part of School Board District F. Your school board trustee is Carolyn Edwards. Trustee Edwards holds monthly meetings called ‘F-Troop’ which are open for anyone to attend. This is an opportunity to meet your trustee, learn about the board and the school district, and provide feedback. more information
Parent Link
To help you more effectively monitor the progress of your child, the Clark County School District provides ParentLink, a computer based system by which you can track your child's grades and attendance. Simply enter the login ID and password that have been provided to you to review you child's information. If you do not have a login ID and password, please contact the school office.
