Back-to-School Events
Welcome Back Teachers’ Luncheon and Parent Open House are both held in August before school starts.

Beatty’s Best
Every month, students are recognized for their achievements academically and in citizenship. Teachers choose which students receive the reward. Students eat a special lunch with the Principal and Assistant Principal.

Bring Mom & Dad to School
Also known as "National Parent Involvement Day", this is a special day for adults to visit our school. This year it is scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 2007.

Class Parties
Class parties are planned by the teachers and occur near holidays. Talk to your child's teacher for more information.

Donations
We are always looking for local businesses to donate to our school. Donations can be monetary, services, or items that can be used as prizes and incentives.

Field Day
This year, Field Day will be May 9, 2008. This is a fun-filled day when students play and participate in approximately 15-20 sports and games they learn in PE class. Students move from activity to activity, participating in the games. Each class needs adults to walk with them to the activities. Teachers are assigned to an activity station and do not move with their class.

Fundraisers
PTA sponsors a fundraiser early in the fall. Throughout the year we earn money through Box Tops 4 Education and Escrip. Any support you can provide to our school is greatly appreciated!

Holiday Shoppe
Held in December, students have the opportunity to shop for gifts for their family and friends at the Holiday Shoppe. Adults are needed to set up the week before and to help students shop during the event. Holiday Shoppe is held during the school day.

Membership
Our biggest push for membership is during the first two months of school but new members are welcome any time throughout the year! An annual membership is $7 per person.

Reading & Book Events
Reading Days, when adults come to school to read to the students, are scheduled throughout the year. Book Fairs and Reading Week are also held in the fall and spring.

Reflections Art Program
Reflections is a National PTA contest for children to create art, write stories, compose music, or take photos for a theme. Three winners in each category are selected to represent our school at the state level.

Room Parents
Room parents work in the classroom making copies, decorating bulletin boards, and working with students. Schedules should be arranged with your child's teacher.

School Pictures
Pictures are taken several times throughout the school year. Adults are needed to direct the children when they come to the multipurpose room for their photographs.

Science Fair
Science Fair is held in January. We are always looking for parents and community members with an interest in science to help with judging.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation
The first week of May is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. Lots of activities and special surprises are in store!

Yearbook
Compiling the yearbook is a year round event, with the bulk of the work occuring in January and February.
